Making her first start of 2013, MS MUSTANFAR led wire-to wire to win a six-furlong test on the dirt at Lone Star Park. The 4-year-old filly by MUSTANFAR broke quickly from post seven to take the early lead. Setting the pace throughout, she had a 2 1/2-length lead in the stretch and was eased up near the end to win by a comfortable length. MS MUSTANFAR was a Maiden Special Weight winner in her debut last year after stalking the pace and closing fastest of all through the stretch for that win.

Making his second start back after a four-month layoff, FORTUNE AFAR battled through the stretch to finish runner-up at Oaklawn Park. Going a mile on the main track, the son of MUSTANFAR settled near midpack in the early going, then went four wide coming out of the final turn and drove through the stretch to the wire, finishing just a nose back of the win. He graduated last year taking a 1 1/16-mile Maiden Special Weight by 5 1/4 lengths.

Making his first career start, this 2-year-old colt from the second crop of MUSTANFAR got his career started off right winning a 1000-meter turf event at Monterrico by two lengths. Showing speed right out of the gates, CAUCATO eased back a little through the middle part of the race, then put in a strong run to the wire to hold his competition at bay. Bred in Kentucky by Tommy & Lisa Mills, he is the first foal out of the Irish River mare, Riverview.

This 3-year-old son of MUSTANFAR settled behind the leaders in the early going of this one mile & 70 yards race at Prairie Meadows, began closing in on the frontrunners on the far turn, and continued his drive through the stretch for the runner-up spot. It was more than three lengths back to the third-place finisher. Earlier in the year, FORTUNE AFAR won a Maiden Special Weight by 5 1/2 lengths at the favorite, and in 2012, has won or placed in six starts.

A Maiden Special Weight winner in her debut earlier in the year, MS MUSTANFAR scored her second victory taking a 6 1/2-furlong dirt event at Canterbury. This 3-year-old filly by MUSTANFAR set the pace after breaking from post two, got clear in the stretch and pulled away to win by 2 3/4 lengths.

This 3-year-old son of MUSTANFAR kicked clear down the stretch to take this 1 1/16-mile Maiden Special Weight against elders at Prairie Meadows. Reserved early sitting just six lengths off the lead, FORTUNE AFAR began to make his run going inside in the final turn, then swung to the outside at the top of the stretch and steadily drew away to win by 5 1/4 lengths as the favorite. He had previously placed in four of his five starts this year.

In a good effort, 3YO Fortune Afar was second in a one mile seventy Prairie Meadows MSW.  After having to wait for running room at the 3/16 pole, Fortune Afar responded and stayed on gamely to gain the place.  Four times placed, including three times at Oaklawn Park, he is a 3-year-old son from the first crop of multiple graded stakes winner MUSTANFAR and is raced by his breeder Tom Baxter, trained by Kelly Von Hemel.

This 3-year-old son of MUSTANFAR showed his determination in taking this one mile Maiden Special Weight on the dirt at Mountaineer. Never more than two lengths back through most of the race, GROOM OF DOOM swung out three wide in upper stretch and wore down the two frontrunners to win by 1/2 length. Out of the Honor Grades mare, Maid of Honor, he was bred in Kentucky by Jim Hawkins and Lois Hawkins.

At Turfway, GROOM OF DOOM, also a 3-year-old son of MUSTANFAR, saved ground early, then swung wide and put in a drive down the stretch to place in this one mile maiden event on February 24.

Making his first start since the summer, Fortune Afar closed well to place in a six-furlong Maiden race at Oaklawn Park. Last in the early going, this 3-year-old son from the first crop of multiple graded stakes winner MUSTANFAR swung four wide into the stretch and finished strongly down the lane to place in only his third career start.

MOTHEEBA, a 2-year-old filly from the first crop of multiple graded stakes winner MUSTANFAR, came back just a week after her maiden win to place in the 1600m Criterium Aretuseo on the turf in Italy on December 3, only 2 1/2 lengths back of the winner. She was stretching out a bit after a 2 3/4-length win going 1100m on November 27. She is owned by Scuderia Bosco Unipersonale and trained by Sebastiano Cannavo’.

Freshman sire MUSTANFAR was represented by his second winner as MOTHEEBA won going 1100m on the turf in Italy.  Making her third career start, the 2YO flly won by 2 3/4 lengths over a course rated good.  She is owned by Scuderia Bosco Unipersonale and trained by Sebastiano Cannavo’.

In a one mile maiden special weight, two-year-old GROOM OF DOOM raced in mid-pack until making a strong drive going five wide in the upper stretch, closing ground to get up for the show. The race was over the main track at Mountaineer Park.  Making his fourth start, GROOM OF DOOM previously had been on the board at Turfway Park and Mountaineer.

The Kentucky-bred gelding is out of the Honor Grades mare, Maid of Honor.

2-year-old colt MUKAMER broke on top and led every step of the way to become a repeat winner in the first crop for his sire MUSTANFAR, a versatile Graded SW by Unbridled.

In the 5 1/2 furlong event, MUKAMER scorched through early fractions of :22.4, 46.4, and :59.3 to prevail in 1:06:1 over the Finger Lakes track. Out of the Island Whirl mare Vivano, he now has two wins, three times second in six starts for earnings of $43,430 to date.

MUKAMER, a 2-year-colt from the 1st crop of multiple graded stakes winner MUSTANFAR, was runnerup in this five-furlong allowance test at Presque Isle Downs on August 27. Making just his second career start, he stalked the pace four wide and finished with good effort. In his career debut, MUKAMER vied for the lead on the turn, opened up in the stretch and won a five-furlong Maiden Special Weight by 1 3/4 lengths on August 12 at Finger Lakes.

First crop sire MUSTANFAR recorded his first winner August 12 as MUKAMER drove to a convincing victory in his debut at Finger Lakes. Battling for the lead entering the turn, the 2-year-old colt opened up in the stretch to maintain victory in the closing stages. A son of Unbridled, MUSTANFAR is a multiple graded stakes winner from a sire family that includes the likes of Nashwan. His 2-year-olds are currently hitting the track this year.
