DARTING BEATS COLTS TO BECOME WINNER #5
FOR SAHM
After two on-the-board finishes in October, DARTING (01 f,
o/o Mur Taasha, by Riverman) put it all together and captured her first career
victory in a maiden event at Lingfield in Great Britain. She traveled strongly
throughout the five furlongs on the all-weather track and collared the
frontrunner in the last furlong. She held on to win by a short head over the
boys and got the distance in 1:00 3/5.
DARTING is the fifth winner for her freshman sire. Bred in
Kentucky by Shadwell Farm LLC, she campaigns in the colors of Raymond Tooth.
Her dam is a half-sister to the Mr. Prospector stakes winner IKHTEYAAR.
A Shadwell Sales graduate, DARTING brought $27,000 at the
2002 Keeneland September Yearling Sale.

COQUINERIE STEPS UP TO WIN IN ALLOWANCE
RANKS
In a heart-stopping performance, COQUINERIE (01 f, o/o
Istinad, by Kris S.) stepped up from maiden company to allowance conditions and
garnered her second win. She broke patiently, trailed the field of 10, and
began making a move while four-wide on the far turn of the 1 1/16 mile turf
event at Calder. The 2-year-old filly battled nip and tuck down the stretch to
prevail by a neck.
COQUINERIE's allowance victory marked her first foray onto
turf and was her second triumph in four career starts. Bred in Kentucky by
Shadwell Farm, LLC, she races for Caroni Stable.

SECOND STAKES HORSE IN TWO DAYS FOR
SAHM
Less than 24 hours after notching his first stakes winner,
freshman sire SAHM got his first group stakes horse when Mustameet (01
c, o/o Hamasah, by Irish River (FR)) placed in the Juddmonte Beresford S.-G2 at
The Curragh in Ireland. The juvenile colt was making just his third lifetime
start in the group event over one mile. He was beaten just two lengths for the
win and held onto a commanding third, never allowing the others close.
From the same family as 2001 Breeders' Cup Mile-G1 winner
Val Royal (FR), MUSTAMEET was bred in Kentucky by Shadwell Farm LLC. He
campaigns for Hamdan al Maktoum.

FIRST STAKES WINNER FOR FRESHMAN SIRE
SAHM
MR. FIXED INCOME (01 c, o/o Tinted Ivory, by Sir
Ivor) became the first stakes winner for his first-crop sire with a tenacious,
hard-fought victory in the Finger Lakes Juvenile S. The game 2-year-old also
broke his maiden in the black-type victory. After breaking slowly and racing
near the rear in the six-furlong stakes at Finger Lakes, Mr. Fixed Income made
a four-wide move on the turn and went after the leaders. He responded gamely to
pressure and just nailed the frontrunner on the wire to win by a neck.
SAHM's first stakes winner was bred in New York by
Underhill Investment Corp. A half-brother to multiple stakes-placed Grillhouse,
Mr. Fixed Income races for Steven Peskoff.

THIRD WINNER FOR SAHM IS
SAHMKINDAWONDERFUL
SAHMKINDAWONDERFUL (01 f, o/o Lasque, by Bounding Basque)
registered a game maiden special weight performance to became the third career
winner for freshman sire SAHM. She raced with the leaders going one mile on the
turf at Hawthorne, rallied in the stretch, and battled to the wire for a neck
victory. The 2-year-old filly got the distance in a nice 1:36 3/5.

SAHM'S 2ND WINNER IN GRITTY STYLE IN
CALDER MSW
COQUINERIE (01 f, o/o Istinad, by Kris S.) became the
second winner for her freshman sire in a nose victory at Calder, a track
recognized for its juvenile racing. The 2-year-old filly broke slowly in the
maiden special weight field of nine and trailed thru the first half of the one
mile dirt race. She began moving on the turn and angeled out in the stretch,
putting in a furious and determined drive to catch the leader by a nose on the
wire.
Bred in Kentucky by Shadwell Farm LLC, COQUINERIE is the
first foal out of her dam and is from the immediate family of the 1988 Kentucky
Derby-winning filly Winning Colors. COQUINERIE is SAHM's second career winner
from just six starters and races for Caroni Stable.

THE CURRAGH WINNER MUSTAMEET IS SAHM'S
FIRST
Making his career debut, 2-year-old colt MUSTAMEET (01 c,
o/o Hamasah, by Irish River (FR)) become the first winner for his sire when he
took a nice maiden event at The Curragh in Ireland. It was an impressive
beginning for both the colt and for SAHM, as this colt was only his third
starter to date.
MUSTAMEET took his time after breaking from the gate and
was last for the first five furlongs of the seven furlong maiden. When asked to
challenge the field, the colt responded beautifully and soon accelerated past
all competitors for a comfortable two-length victory. Over good ground, he got
the distance in 1:27.
"He came to us from Dubai and is a really nice colt," said
trainer Kevin Prendergast. "He had a nice introduction today and didn't have to
work too hard."
Bred in Kentucky by Shadwell Farm LLC,
MUSTAMEET races in the colors of Hamdan al Maktoum. He is the first foal to
race out of his dam and hails from the same family as 2001 Breeders' Cup
Mile-G1 winner Val Royal (FR).
