Black Velvet Band Earns Sixth Career Victory

Friday, August 21, 2009

BLACK VELVET BAND battled from start to finish and earned her victory in the 4th race at Finger Lakes going five and one-half furlongs over the fast (sealed) track.

The daughter of INTIDAB battled for the lead from between horses and she never took a breather the entire trip. The three in front became two late and BLACK VELVET BAND dug in gamely to the wire to win by a head.

Bred in New York by Joanne M. Pamperin and Gallagher's Stud, she is out of the Double Negative mare, Buddy's Dinasha. She races for Heas Stables and she is trained by Daniel Poliziani.
